自拍達人大猩猩病逝　保育員懷中嚥下最後一口氣

剛果維倫加國家公園（Virunga National Park）的「自拍達人」大猩猩恩達卡希（Ndakasi）近日因病辭世，在保育員包馬（Andre Bauma）的懷中嚥下最後一口氣，得年14歲。

恩達卡希與包馬的2019年自拍照傳遍社交媒體，側身找出最佳角度的模樣有如時下少男少女，這隻來自非洲的大猩猩也因此暴紅。

過了兩年多以後，長年與病魔抗戰的恩達卡希不治過世，

根據國家公園聲明，恩達卡希出生沒多久就失去母親，被發現時緊抱亡母的屍身，被帶回到專門飼養孤兒山地大猩猩的機構。從那時起，負責照護的包馬與這隻大猩猩成為最要好的朋友。

達卡希的媽媽被武裝民兵射殺，但也有許多愛她的人們支持。包馬在她離世以後，表示有榮幸能夠支持和照顧這個討人喜歡的恩達卡希，尤其知道她在童年時經歷了極大的創傷。

有靈性的恩達卡希幫助他理解了人類如何與類人猿建立良好關係，她就像是包馬的小孩，「性格開朗總讓我微笑，我們國家公園裡的人都喜歡她」。

發生在恩達卡西母親的不幸悲劇，也讓該國進行重大改革，維倫加山地大猩猩受到更完善保護，十四年來物種數量增加了47%，大部分居住在維倫加國家公園。
