菲律賓與越南擱置南海爭議　8/9首次舉行海巡聯合演習

越南海洋警察局的船隻5日到訪菲律賓馬尼拉，準備與菲律賓海岸防衛隊展開聯合演練，這是2國海巡首次舉行聯合演練。這2個國家對南海水域的主張有衝突，但都面臨中國的壓力。

路透報導，菲律賓總統小馬可仕1月造訪越南，簽署強化海巡合作文件後，越南海警2500頓級、船身長90公尺的DN2000型巡邏艦於5日抵達馬尼拉，準備在9日與菲律賓海岸防衛隊船身長83公尺的巡邏艦席蘭號（BRP Gabriela Silang）展開海巡聯合演練，主要項目為海上搜尋、搜救，以及消防、爆破等。

這是2國海巡首次展開聯合演練，事實上，這2個國家在南海水域上存在爭端，專屬經濟海域範圍有所重疊；而中國則聲稱幾乎擁有整個南海海域及及島礁的主權，並時常與菲律賓爆發衝突，是小馬可仕訪越，強化與越南海巡合作的原因之一。

菲律賓海岸防衛隊發言人巴里羅（Armando Balilo）表示，儘管菲律賓與越南有競爭關係，都是西菲律賓海的主權聲索國，但依然有辦法共同合作，「希望中國能以此為榜樣，降低緊張形勢」。
