美國首位非裔女性副總統候選人　拜登選賀錦麗為副手

美國民主黨總統候選人拜登（Joe Biden）11日宣布選定參議員賀錦麗（Kamala Harris）為競選夥伴，是為美國兩大黨首位非裔女性副總統候選人。

拜登事後推文，以賀錦麗擔任加州檢察長期間，與拜登兒子波伊（Beau Biden）共同為社會基層付出，致力捍衛婦女幼童免於受虐，以及保障勞工權益，他皆看在眼裡，並引以選她擔任副手為榮。

Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I'm proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.

賀錦麗回推拜登推文，也表達加入拜登政營著實光榮，將義無反顧投入競選活動，只求拜登掌政。並讚揚拜登付出一生心血於國家，有能力凝聚美國人心。當選總統勢必將廣納人民意願，建設國人理想國家。

美國前總統歐巴馬也推文祝賀，表示他和賀錦麗相識許久，她過去職涯致力於保障基層權益，隨時皆能擔綱這個重責大任。並在文中附圖與前美國第一夫人蜜雪兒（Michelle Obama）共同發表聲明，表示副總統選任是總統首要重大抉擇，拜登一舉實為全美的好日子，「現在，讓我們贏得這場選戰！」
